Hello,
I was wondering, is it bad to download a game and playing a game at same time? I ask this in terms of usage of HDD, I have a nearly 3 years old Seagate Harddisk and it works really good even its age, I have zero bad sectors as Speecy shows, playing all my games on this disk, just my Windows runs on SSD. I mean, does a game can use my harddisk while playing a game? I'm downloading GTA V since last night since its a HUGE 61GB to download, I left my Computer open at night, and still downloading. I can see the Disk usage(for downloading game) on steam library, its around 900KB-2,5MB and always stays in that rate
so in short words, whats the common sense in this topic? its normal to play a game while PC downloads a game?
thanks in advance
and a good day

Can i download a game from steam (in my case civilization 5) while playing another game that uses steam? Or does playing the game stop the download? Because i would like to play a game while waiting for civilization 5 to download, because my estimate of the game would be like 6-8 hours to download. If you, like me, are a resident of a country outside of the US, you may have had some troubles when trying to buy games on Steam while away from home.Traveling to the states for gaming conventions like E3, Casual Connect, or PAX, my days are typically filled with meeting game developers, publishers, and fellow gamers. Back at the hotel for the evenings to catch some rest, boredom is inevitable. So when I want to kill a few hours, I hit Steam and check out new releases or light-weight games like Terraria, or A Virus Named TOM.
But when I log in to Steam from the US, the new IP address I'm on isn't one that my Canadian Steam account is set to. So buying games on the Steam client wouldn't work, instead it'd give me a transaction error, telling me to try again in a few minutes. Minutes go by, every retry gave me the same error. I took to Steam support, got a ticket, and support promptly gave me a workaround.
In a web browser, you have to log in to your Steam account and enter your country code after the CC (credit card) variable—for Canadians, it is as follows: http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=CA
Once entered, I was able to buy games from remote locations outside of my home country, and the gaming commenced. https://loudclever112.weebly.com/blog/de-charna-da-pyar-sardool-sikander-mp3-download.
So, if you're unable to purchase games on Steam from locations outside of your country while traveling in a different country, simply add your country code at the end of the url after ?cc=[country code].
Other (but not all) country codes can also help you check prices in different currencies:
United States: ?cc=US
Germany: ?cc=DE
United Kingdom: ?cc=UK
And if you've ever experienced errors when buying Steam games away from home, I hope this helps.
